Be there on June 20 when our customer SCHOTT turns the Mainz charity run "Run for Children®" into "Act for Children" this year and supports children in need.

For 14 years, running enthusiasts have been running in Mainz under the motto "Together for a good cause" for needy children. The event is initiated and organized every year by the Otto Schott Fund with the support of SCHOTT AG. But this year, everything is different: The live event and the charity run have to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation.

Fortunately, this does not prevent SCHOTT from holding the charity event. The organisers have come up with something great for this: An alternative format in a new form that preserves the idea and character of the original event and creates an online donation marathon for regional institutions and children's aid organisations. However, right now more than ever, many institutions are dependent on donations. We think this is great and support the event as a partner!

Live concert, live-stream and fundraiser marathon.

A stage, regional artists and the opportunity to do good together. On 20 June 2020 at 4 pm "Act for Children" (in stream) will have its premiere. From 8 p.m. on you can also be there live in the drive-in cinema or you can continue to be there comfortably via live stream from home. The programme is a colourful mix: From children's programmes to live music and a DJ set, there is something for everyone!

"The idea behind our new concept is to stick to our roots despite the current situation - in other words, the core and motivation behind Run for Children®. This year, we're transforming the whole thing into a live show of a different kind. The concept takes people's longing for authentic live events in the current situation and combines it with an online stream to make the program accessible to everyone," explains Salvatore Ruggiero, Head of Marketing & Communication at SCHOTT AG.
